i love the olive garden!

well, i got my headshots done. i was very happy with them. now the trouble is going to be choosing ONE out of like a million! i have a lot of work ahead of me. mark was great. he let me tell him what i liked and what i was looking for...and he gave me just that. there were times when we used the fan...and oh my goodness, i could not stop laughing at linda (my executive director) because she was the "fan holder" hehe. and she was worrrrrkin it! i had a lot of fun.

after i was done at mark's studio, i went over to Sempliners to try on some gowns for our fashion show on Sunday. WOW did kim pick out some pretty dresses. there is a green one that i LOVE. so elegant, but still unique and interesting. it is a def possibility for miss mi. i am excited for the fashion show. we (Jenna and I) havent done one in about a month. i think i am having with drawls. hehe. there is nothing like getting your hair and make-up done and wearing pretty dresses.

sooooo...another week passed. it is friday!! TGIF. i still have a lot to do. i plan on going to CMU sunday night to stay with my old roommate and good friend Jess. then on monday i will be attending the "After Graduation" meeting for education majors. i need HELP! lol. plus it is MLK jr day. what a great day to celebrate a man who did so much for our country...just by standing up for what he believed in. i wish i could have met him. last year i walked in the MLK walk across campus. very inspirational.

so little time.

there is always so much to do, and so little time. or at least thats how it feels. i feel like i have a million things on my plate...and once i finally take care of one, another NEW one just comes on. being Miss Bay County has been such a blessing. but ill tell you what, it is NOT easy to manage your time. i have become attatched to my planner. haha. and sometimes it is hard to divide my time among family and friends and my duties as MBC. but...like i said, it has been one of the BEST experiences of my life. and i am SOOOOO lucky to have such an honor.

through MBC i have had the wonderful opportunity to meet a young boy named Drew. he is a Children's Miracle Network (CMN) child. i could go on and on for hours about how awesome Drew is...but i just wanted to update everyone about his birthday party. it was rock and roll themed :) so cool. they had a "tattoo" station where we could get temp tattoos. the kids loved it...and i have to admit that i did too ;) they had a taco bar and a DJ. the DJ was Drew's uncle i believe. he was a good guy. we also played rockband...i never realized how bad i stink at singing rock and roll songs. hehe. i didnt want to leave at the end of the night...but i had to scoot off b/c i had a 40 minute drive ahead of me. all in all...it was a great party to start off the new year. i feel so honored that i was invited. ALSO...congrats to the new Miss Spirit of the State!! i wish i could have been there to get a picture with her. she seems like an amazing woman and i cant WAIT to meet her officially :)

soooo...i get my headshots for Miss MI done tomorrow with mark. i am excited and nervous all in one. i have never done anything like this before so i think that is where my nerves are coming into play. i just want these pictures to not only look awesome...but i want them to represent who i am as a person...and that's going to be kind of difficult to portray through a picture. but i am determined to be 100% happy with the picture i choose. so that calms my nerves a little. my outstanding teen (jenna) got hers taken yesterday. i am sure they turned out amazing b/c she is such a beautiful girl.
